A laptop or phone with a stable internet connection and a quiet space for sessions. The full session tech — video, audio, chat, session notes, reminders — runs inside the Mytherapist.ng partner platform. You do not need to buy any extra software, video licence, or scheduling tool.
Yes. Most of our partners run a private practice alongside Mytherapist.ng. You control your availability, your fees, and the clients you accept. You can pause matching any time you need space, without affecting your account.
Most applications are reviewed within 2–3 business days. After we verify your credentials and have a short conversation with our lead therapist, you can be onboarded and accepting clients within the first week.
You need a current professional licence or certification in a relevant field — psychology, social work, psychiatry, or counselling — and at least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy. We verify your licence against the regulator before approval.

Common concerns include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, workplace stress, grief, and trauma. We match clients to you based on your stated specialisations, language, faith, and gender preferences.
