How to Delete Your Account

To request the deletion of your account and associated data:

1. Log into Your Account on the Mytherapist.ng app or website.

2. Go to Profile tab → Privacy & Data.

3. Select the option Delete My Account.

4. Confirm your request by following the on-screen prompts.

Alternatively, you can email our support team at [email protected] with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include your account details.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

When you request account deletion, the following applies:

Data That Will Be Deleted:

• Personal details such as your name, email, and phone number.

• Chat history and therapy session records.

• Account preferences and saved settings.

Data That May Be Retained:

• Payment Records: Transaction records will be retained for up to 12 months for legal and financial compliance.

• Anonymized Data: Aggregated and anonymized information that cannot be linked to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.

• Retention Period for Certain Data: Data necessary to comply with legal obligations will be securely retained for up to 12 months before being permanently deleted.

Important Notes

• Account deletion is permanent, and you will lose access to all your data, wallet balance, and services on Mytherapist.ng.

• Wallet Balance Policy: Any wallet balance below ₦50,000 at the time of account deletion will be automatically forfeited is not eligible for withdrawal or refund. Balances ₦50,000 and above may be processed for refund upon written request before deletion.

• If you have an active subscription or pending appointment booking, you must cancel it before requesting account deletion. Contact our support team for assistance.
