Today we’re excited to introduce Prime — an optional membership built for people who want to get the most out of their therapy journey. Here’s what it does, what it costs, and how to get started in under two minutes.
The essentials never change. Booking therapy, joining sessions, journaling, mood tracking, free guided meditations, and the calming breathing exercises stay free or pay-per-session. Prime is something extra on top.
What is Prime?
Prime is Mytherapist.ng’s membership plan. It unlocks premium self-care content and adds more control over how, when, and how privately you attend your sessions. Whether you’re just starting therapy or you’ve made it part of your routine, Prime is designed to help you keep going.
Every membership includes:
- Free reschedules and cancellations — every fee waived, so life’s changes never cost you.
- Reschedule up to 12 hours before a session — more breathing room than the standard 24-hour window.
- Book sessions anonymously — an added layer of privacy whenever you want it.
- Premium Guided Meditation Programs — longer, therapist-crafted audio for sleep, anxiety, and focus.
- Premium breathing exercises — the full Breathing Studio, built for winding down and staying grounded.
- Read your therapy messages after a session ends — revisit and reflect on what you discussed.
- AI chat buddy (coming soon) — a supportive companion for the moments between sessions.
💚 A deliberate choice: the breathing exercises made for hard moments — Quick Reset, Calm Anxiety, and Panic Reset — stay free for everyone, Prime or not. Support in a difficult moment is never behind a paywall.
Premium content, clearly labelled
Premium content is always visible, never hidden. In Guided Meditation, Prime sessions carry a Prime badge with a lock until you subscribe — free sessions play as usual.
The Breathing Studio works the same way — premium programs like Focus Flow show a Prime badge on their card, so you always know what’s part of the membership.
Choose the plan that fits your life
Prime comes in two plans, each billed monthly or yearly:

Paying yearly saves you more — Individual works out to two months free, and Family saves you ₦6,000 over the year. Prime is separate from session fees: therapy stays pay-per-session, and Prime unlocks the features above.
Prime Family is ideal for households and loved ones. As the plan manager, you invite members by email and each gets their own full Prime access — you can add or remove members any time.

How to get started
Getting started takes less than a minute:
Step 1 — Open the Prime screen
Head to the Profile tab and tap Subscribe to Prime — or tap View Prime on any premium content prompt.
Step 2 — Pick your plan
You’ll see the full list of benefits and both plans with monthly and yearly pricing. Choose Prime Individual or Prime Family, then tap Subscribe Now.
Step 3 — Choose how to pay
The checkout sheet offers three ways to activate Prime:
- Debit card — pay instantly via Paystack, or save a card for one-tap checkout next time.
- Direct debit — authorise a secure bank mandate once, and Prime renews automatically so your access never lapses.
- Invite code — redeem a gifted Prime code from a friend or from our team; it activates immediately (gifted memberships run until they expire and don’t auto-renew).
You can also switch between Monthly and Yearly billing right on this sheet before you pay.
Step 4 — You’re in
Once payment is confirmed you’ll land on the confirmation screen — and every Prime benefit unlocks immediately, no restart needed.
Enjoying your benefits
Head back to Guided Meditation — the locks are gone and Prime sessions play like any other, with the badge flipping from locked to unlocked so you can still see what’s part of your membership.
Your profile shows your membership at a glance too: a Prime badge under your name, and the Prime row now reads Manage Prime — You are a Prime member.
Prime on your terms
Open Profile → Manage Prime any time to control your subscription. From here you can:
- See your subscription details — plan, expiry date, billing method, and renewal term.
- Turn auto-renew on or off. With it off, Prime simply runs until the expiry date and won’t charge you again.
- Switch between monthly and yearly billing.
- Upgrade or downgrade between Individual and Family — changes take effect at your next renewal, so you’re never double-charged.
- Manage your family members — add up to 5 people by email, see who’s using each seat, and remove anyone at any time.
